About the job

On the Law Enforcement Department, we work to prevent, detect, and investigate economic crime, both in Sweden and internationally. This ranges from complex tax schemes to how population registration can be used as a tool for crime.

As an investigator or auditor, you are one of the key players in this important work. You review and analyze how companies and individuals attempt to evade taxes – and ensure it is stopped. This may involve:

• preventing incorrect payments
• detecting and stopping false invoices
• identifying undeclared work
• mapping complex corporate structures used to conceal money laundering

You also play a crucial role by stopping incorrect registrations, thereby protecting legitimate businesses from being exploited in criminal schemes.

The work is varied and challenging. You need to be able to determine the right course of action in each situation – whether it involves auditing, investigation, or control visits. You do not do this alone. We work closely together, both with colleagues and in collaboration with other authorities, to combat organized crime and labor market crime. You will become part of Law Enforcement Unit 5, where we are approximately 170 dedicated colleagues with a common goal: to make a difference. Your place of work will be Linköping.

About you

You must also have:

• a university education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics, law, or another higher education education relevant to the position.
• current and relevant work experience from economic or auditing work, or alternatively, current and relevant experience from work with in-depth investigation or auditing at a state authority.

It is desirable that you have current experience working with similar tasks at the Swedish Tax Agency. It is also desirable that you have a valid driver's license (Category B).

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months.

A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
